Winter is Here: Pull out your best blazer

Today we are looking into the Jacket. Winter is here, so I thought that we’d explore what some designers are looking at in terms of keeping our bones warm this winter and then creating some of these looks using stuff from my own wardrobe. I find that this is the easiest way to make it easy for you.

Realistically all designers are doing the same thing that they have always done. They put it together differently every year to make it “edgier” for their market. Simply, however, with consideration to the odd lapel or varying legths, a jacket is a jacket is a jacket.
This blazer is from the Hugo Boss collection for this Winter. The blue is great, however I think it does limit the possibilities of what you can wear it with. Maybe I should do an article on this another day? Photo Courtesy HugoBoss.com
This is a stunning blazer by Zegna. These guys are at the cutting edge when it comes to capturing Mens Classic Style. I am not really into buying new gear all the time, however there are some things that you can buy once and keep forever if you look after it. This is one of those things. Photo Courtesy Zegna.com
Soon I am going to do some articles about what the designers are promoting in the world of fashion now. As much as I don’t really care what the fashion labels are telling us we should be doing, I do like to have a look at what they are promoting as the “new fashions” for the season. Considering Mens Classic Style never really changes, I just find it funny that they try to put a new spin on it every single season.

What I am doing now though is just to show you how to put together some of the things that are already in your wardrobe.
As you can see here, the classic style of a jacket, shirt and tie is shown in great form here. These colours look fantastic here.

Don’t discount a more casual look with a jacket though. Here you can see it with a t-shirt, button up shirt, and the jacket finishing the look.

Some guys don’t like the layered shirt thing, however it can look stylish as long as your wearing it in the right scenario. Stylish barbecue; yes. Wedding; NO NO NO!!!
So as you can see, the humble jacket, or blazer, is a great accessory for winter. It’s the perfect one-for-all-occasions accessory which you can rely on to always look good.

So now, grab one, ask your dad for one, pull out your grandads old ones, or buy one new. Whichever method you use, make sure you have a good blazer in the closet this winter, because I am telling you, it won’t spend much time there.
